OUR NEW HOME?
|
|
For some time now Western Vikings have been activly seeking a new permenant home for rugby
in the west of the island. Over the last 10 years or so we have been moving between the campsite
and the QE2 school in order to fulfill our home commitments. During the last few years we have
came to the conclusion that a new permanent home is needed to take the club forward to the
next level and secure our future.
We looked into the campsite and found that this was not feasable due to the camping season, also
with the new swimming pool taking up a large portion of the campsite a new pitch there was not
able to be formed on this site. We sought many avenues around Peel and the west in order to
seek a new home but none of these materialised into firm plans.

KNOCKALOE THE FUTURE?
|
Over the last 12 months we have been in talks to plan our new home at Knockaloe Farm, Patrick.
We have kindly been approached by the Royal Manx Agricultual Society to build our new club
facilities at the Knockaloe site.
We hope that we can accomodate two full size pitches, a training pitch, changing room and shower
facilities and eventually a fully licensed clubhouse. We hope all this to be in place for the
start of the 2010/11 season.
